The practice tea ceremony scheduled for April has been postponed to June 30th.

I was asked to be the host!

As it was the day of the summer solstice, the theme was summer solstice.

My master's words, "The first time you act as the host is the most memorable,"

    sent me into full swing!

I started by making my first pickled plums for the plum syrup and plum vinegar that I would serve in the waiting room one month in advance!

I wanted to make a thatched ring and pass through it! But of course my request was rejected ???? How about a small thatched ring? He asked me,

Since the son of a certain famous shrine is in the company,

where does thatch grow? ! That's how I started.

I wanted it to be lush and green, so I cut it at Tosa Inari Shrine, the birthplace of Mitsubishi, the day before the preparations.

I wrote "Somin Shorai" in clerical script, like a paper money charm.

The last pickle is also red shiso with pickled plums.

This is Ohara's authentic eggplant pickle, which is unique to this season.

It was prepared for fermentation a week ago.

The dried sweets for the thin tea ceremony were also prepared a week ago.

Two colors: green maple leaves and hydrangea.

Mallow blue was used to make the blue and purple sweets from a senior tea shop in the company.

The main sweets were cute and I hadn't seen them much, so I ordered Minazuki from Wakuden wrapped in bamboo leaves.

I asked, "Can we serve champagne?!"

But he said, "It depends on the guest."

My good friend, a senior who loves champagne, was the guest of honor????

Shichiken x Alain Ducasse sparkling sake

Masuizumi Ramonet aged in Montrachet barrels, which I visited last year

The last one was D'Argonne aged in Henri Giraud barrels from Masuizumi!! !

I was completely carried away by my hobby????

I assumed that the tools would be something amazing from the master Iguchi Kaisen, the younger brother of the abbot Tantansai,

so I used our Phoenix and Peony Makie tray

Old Baccarat Talilande, which is not currently on sale,

and Old Baccarat with gold leaf from 1920.

The floor was also set up with our Peony Arabesque Makie Sanpo,

with human figures purchased from Kamigamo Shrine,

and I cut some green maple leaves from the garden and added them.

    And our Old Baccarat,

or rather, Harumi Baccarat, basket pattern,

    as a water jar.

The lid was custom-made with lacquer!

I was glad that I could use the Old Baccarat that I had until June!

The day before, I removed spider webs, wiped down the shoji screen, and wiped down the outside walls.

In order to make the guests feel only green when they come in,

    they cut all the flowers,

    even the gardenia flowers????

The teacher is an expert in kaiseki, so it's like a traditional Japanese restaurant!!

We all did the preparations together.

The teacher has been watching my Instagram and that of the main guests,

so I was impressed that he prepared some items related to our outing together!
